QuestFit Challenge 2018

QuestFit Challenge

This year we are offering TWO free tickets to Mountain Quest - one for a member from Chapel Hill Quest Martial Arts and one from the broader Quest community!

What is the QuestFit challenge? It is the opportunity to reach your health and mindfulness goals with the support of your community!

The rules for CHQC and broader Quest members are posted below. A calendar of fitness opportunities at CHQC will also be posted.

We will also be hosting a Youth QuestFit Challenge. The calendar for the Youth QuestFit Challenge is available at the front desk. The winner of the youth challenge will receive a $40 gift certificate that can be redeemed for private lessons and at the pro shop.

YOU CAN DO IT! UNLEASH YOUR POTENTIAL!

January 1st, 2018 - January 31st, 2018 - WIN A FREE TICKET TO MOUNTAIN QUEST

This challenge is open to anyone in the Quest community. This year we will be giving away TWO tickets to Mountain Quest – one winner from CHQC and one from the broader Quest community. This challenge is designed to help institute healthy habits in our daily lives to make us more capable and powerful protectors. Through the sharing of participation and progress through social media awareness, this challenge will illustrate the benefits of training to our immediate community.

Let us know you are in by posting “I’m in!” on the Facebook event page!

If one decides to participate in the challenge the parameters are as follows:

CHQC Guidelines:
1. Each participant continues to train in at least two To Shin Do classes per week. If a CHQC fitness only membership individual wishes to participate in the challenge they may participate in two martial arts classes per week for the month of January for free. A picture or status update with the hashtag#QuestFitChallenge2018 should be posted or a check-in at the dojo should be made.
2. Each challenge participant should attend two Quest Fit workout opportunities (Quest Fit, Quest Kick, Quest Defense, Quest Ground Tactics, or Quest Run) per week. All people with “two time per week memberships” will be extended to “unlimited training memberships” for the month of January so that they can fully participate. The same check-in or post rules should be followed.
3. Each day each participant should find at least 10 minutes and perform some kind of mindfulness practice. Meditation can take many forms and doesn’t have to be the same type each day to count.
4. At least each participant should consume two liters of water each day for the thirty days. Three meals per week should be cooked at home. We will be posting recipe inspiration throughout the challenge.

TO WIN: Each participant should request a QuestFit Challenge attendance card from the front desk. Present this card for every fitness and martial arts class you participate in. A winner will be selected from members whose cards have the minimum of 2 stamps per week in both fitness and martial arts.

Quest Community Guidelines:
1. Each participant continues to train in at least two To Shin Do classes per week.
2. If your dojo offers fitness opportunities, take advantage of these classes as much as you can throughout the challenge.
3. Each day each participant should find at least 10 minutes and perform some kind of mindfulness practice. Meditation can take many forms and doesn’t have to be the same type each day to count.
4. Each participant should consume at least two liters of water each day for the thirty days. Three meals per week should be cooked at home. We will be posting recipe inspiration throughout the challenge.
